The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has commissioned an ultra modern automobile workshop named Mitros Digital Workshop for easy diagnosis and repair of vehicles at Obada-Oko, mechanic village in Ewekoro Local Government Area of the State.
Governor Amosun said that the commissioning of the project was a fulfilment of part of his campaign promises to ensure that all professionals in the state are able to compete favourably with their counterparts in any part of the world.
He urged the artisans to take optimal use of the workshop and the equipment provided by government to deliver quality services to the people assuring his administration would replicate the project in no less than three locations in the state.
According to the Governor, the digital workshop would ensure efficiency in the maintenance and servicing of vehicles towards prolonging the life span of vehicles on roads, adding that the workshop was designed as a training ground for young professionals in automobile industry.
Towards ensuring patronage of the workshop, Amosun had directed that official vehicles should be taken to the Automobile Diagnostic Workshop for repairs and maintenance so as to set the pace for others.
Speaking on behalf of the artisans, the Chairman of the Nigerian Automobile and Technicians Association (NATA), Ogun State chapter, Mr. Olawale Obadeyi, acknowledged the standard of the workshop affirming that the equipment provided at the workshop by government were world class.
The Chairman was also appreciative for government’s gesture at contracting world class specialists to train them on the appropriate usage of the equipment.
