Ogun State Executive Council has commiserated with the government and people of the State of Osun over the sudden death of the Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Sen. Isiaka Adeleke, who died on Sunday April 23, 2017.
The Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs.) Yetunde Onanuga who presided over the executive council meeting at Executive Chambers of the Governor’s office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, described the death of the first Civilian Governor of the State of Osun as a rude shock and an unfortunate one.
Onanuga portrayed the politician as a grass-root person, whose passion for the wellbeing of the people could not be quantified as he had embarked on massive socio-economic development programmes during his tenure as Governor of the State.
The Executive Council also sympathised with the family of the Director- General of Development Agenda of Western Nigerian (DAWN) Commission, Mr. Dipo Famakinwa who died on April 21, 2017
According to the Council, the late Famakinwa would be remembered for his initiative geared towards ensuring integration and development of Western States through the commission.
The Council observed a minute silence for the duo and prayed to God to give their families the fortitude to bear the loss.
