Labour Party has picked the first female Governorship candidate in Nigeria as the country prepared for General Election in 2018.
Speaking to the Press at the Primaries of the party held at the party Headquarters in Ogun state, Quarry Road, Abeokuta, Ogun state, the State Chairman of the party, Abayomi Arabambi defended her choice as the candidate of the party by saying “what a man can do a woman can do better”, adding that she would deliver the goods and also become the best Governor of the state when elected as the Governor of Ogun State.
He said the people of the state are tied and disappointed with the poor performances of the incumbent administration and they are ready to vote them out of power, stressing that Labour party is the only party that truly provide the people an alternative.
Arabambi stated that it was unthinkable for a government to be running a state as poorly as the state is currently doing under the leadership of Senater Ibikunle Amosun who is so unproductive and without any viable and developmental direction.
“We are ready to occupy Oke- Mosan and provide the people of the Ogun state a respIt having been tortured and punished and starved so much by the Amosun led administration.
The Gubernatorial candidate of the party, Comrade Mrs Dupe Sanyaolu stated she was prepared to run on the platform of the Labour Party and provide the people of the state the needed succour having been subjected to rigours of life by the present administration in the state.
Comrade Sanyaolu stated that she was ready and prepared for the challenges of governing the state by giving her all to the service of the state, “I’m prepared to give my all and also work assiduously to develop the state to the benefit and admiration of the generality of the people of the state”, she stressed.
She urged the people of the state to trust her and vote massively because as a mother she would ensure to do what is best for the people of the state, ” I’m a mother a truly devoted one for that matter and I promise to offer myself diligently to the service of the people of the state”, he stressed
