My Administration will work till the last day in office– Amosun




Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State has reassured of his administration’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the citizenry, promising to continue to work to put the State on a steady path of development.
The Governor who gave the reassurance at the 2019 budget Town Hall meeting, organized by the Ministry of Budget and Planning in Abeokuta, noted that, though the State was yet to be where it should be, assuring that a solid foundation, which would be built upon has been laid.
Senator Amosun said the 2019 budget, being the last to be put together by his government, would focus on driving home all the projects under construction, both in the rural and urban areas, assuring that his administration will work till the last day in office.
Governor Amosun noted that the main objective of the cardinal programme of the present government was to improve the lot of the people, hence the need for the town hall meeting, which would give opportunity for all concerned to make input into the preparation and implementation of the annual budget, enjoining all unions and stakeholders to contribute and give meaningful suggestions to be captured in the budget.
The number one man in the State who maintained that his administration’s efforts had attracted investors, noted that this stride had been a great booster to the State’s economy and had created employment opportunities for the people, affirming that work would commence in earnest at all construction sites, now that rains had subsided.
,Ogun has attracted foreign investors, due to massive developmental project put in place, we are getting it right”, he added.
, In her welcome address, the host commissioner, Ms. Adenrele Adesina, revealed that the purpose of the meeting was to sensitize the people with the Government’s plans and priority projects for 2019, as the administration consolidates upon the ‘Mission to Rebuild’. She noted that the State has the capacity to thrive as industrial hub of the nation, adding that, all the contributions of all stakeholders would be put together and be reflected in the Year 2019 Budget.
