Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun says, his administration has been paying salaries and pension up to date but for the paucity of funds that was delaying other payments, pledging not to owe any worker in the State before the expiration of his tenure.

Amosun while making the pledge at the Town hall meeting organized by the Ministry of Budget and Planning in Abeokuta, assured of his administration’s determination to speed up work on all awarded road projects, as soon as the rainfall subsides.

while praying for more finances to complete all ongoing projects in the State, he said contractors would be mobilised back to sites, to fix infrastructural deficits in some quarters, saying he would want to be remembered as an architect of ‘’a modern Ogun State’’, leaving a system-driven environment, where nobody needs to know anyone before things can work.

The Governor, who appreciated the people of the State for their love towards his government, which he said had contributed to his success, and had been the tonic spurring him to do more, solicited for their continued prayers and support, dispelling rumours on the status of J4 and J6 forest reserves that his administration was not aware of the sales of the forest reserves.

Responding on behalf of traditional rulers, the Alake of Egbaland and Chairman, Ogun State Council of Obas, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, appreciated the Senator Amosun led government for its timely response to the welfare of Royal Fathers in the State.
