The Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has granted the sum of N200m to Market Women and Men Association (MAWOMAS), Ogun State, as revolving loan to help its members boost their businesses.
Amosun, who stated this in Abeokuta at an award ceremony in his honour, said the money would yield increase if judiciously used.
He appreciated the Association for the love, prayers and support, given to his government, saying “this award is a catalyst to spur me and our government to work more”.
Speaking on the ongoing development in the State, the Governor said, “No person, not even our worst critics, has accused us of non performance in governance”, adding that, his administration has not left any Senatorial District untouched.
While assuring the people that he would work till his last day in office, Amosun called on the people to go and get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to enable them vote in the forth coming elections.
Presenting the award to the Governor, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, represented by the Oniro of Iro, Oba Nojeemdeen Alani Aromaye – Adebari, said the award was well deserved.
