The Ogun State Governor- elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has said that, infrastructural development would not be sectionalized but spread across nooks and crannies of the State.

The Governor, who made this known at the Pre-Inauguration Church Service, to usher in the new administration, held at the All Saints Anglican Church, Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government Area of the State, said no part would be developed at the expense of others, saying that reconstruction and rehabilitation of rural and township roads would also be given priority across the State.

“The states of our rural and township roads are nothing to write home about. My deputy and I had taken inventory of the roads that exist across the length and breadth of State, we know every road in each Local Government and we have categorized into those that requires simple palliative, those that require complete overlaying and those that requires complete construction”, Abiodun said.

He said his government would resuscitate the department of Public Works, which would be domiciled in Ogun State Road Maintenance Agency (OGROMA), adding that the department would begin immediate repair of all roads across the State, as soon as he takes over power.

Abiodun said his Government would be a mass-centric government, saying his government would create an enabling environment for Public Private Partnership to thrive in the State.

In his sermon taken from the book of Mark chapter 10, verses 44 to 45 titled, ‘Chosen to Serve’, the Bishop of Yewa, Rt. Revd. Micheal Oluwarohunbi, admonished the Governor elect to learn from the mistakes of his predecessors, adding that the election that brought Dapo Abiodun in, as the next Governor was divine and must not be taken for granted.

The Clergy advised that his government should be people oriented and must not be lopsided in his developmental strategy, while noting that this was the first time in history that this kind of event would be held in Yewaland, he said it was a great sign of better things ahead.
