Igbore High School Needs Government Intervention, Ogun Community Cry Out




The residents of Igbore community in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State has cried out to Ogun State government to help save lives of their children’s from their dilapidated communities Higchool to avoid an unwanted incident occurring.
According to the residents of the community said, the school was one of the late 70s High school established in the State capital in year 1979 that was serving many communities around Abeokuta metropolitan ever since its establishment it has produced so many well meaning Nigerians.
Today , Igbore high School with a total number of students that is almost 2,000 numbers of student from both Junior School and Senior School has become shadow of its self and posted a treat to lives of students and teachers at the school due to deplorable condition of the school especially now that we are in the raining seasons Ogun .

Ignore high school dilapidated buildings
The resident called on Government at all levels in Ogun State to take a serious measure and revamp the school from deplorable conditions to avoid any unwanted happening to the students while on session before going on vacation .
Leading the voice of its people while speaking with the news men in Abeokuta by one of the elders and resident of the community Chief Biola Bada , said “ the school has been in the terrible conditions for over five years , ever since then community heads , Parent and Teachers Association too has written several letters and forwarded many stages of different deplorable conditions photos graphics of the school to government at all levels in the State , but there hasn’t been any response till today,”
Chief Biola affirmed it that despite their several attempts made so far , they have not received any support for the school from any government official or any politician , nevertheless the school is seriously in need of help on infrastructure wise and educational materials wise , like most of the public secondary schools in the state, it has no functional toilet, and source of any drinking water.
Also speaking with the news men by one of the parents of the student of Igbore High School , Mrs. Abike Lawal , said the condition of the school is very pathetic and not conducive for trading not to talk about learning according to her and is really affecting the out put performance of the students attending the school.
Mrs Lawal confirmed that “Whenever it’s rains, the student do feel discouraged to come to school because classrooms are always flooded, students sited on bare broken blocks no chair to site on inside a classroom , doors and windows have been catted away long time ago , despite the cold wind and it’s very pathetic to a parent visibly sighted their children’s shivering, teeth chattering, and bodies shaking , coil themselves up ostensibly to conserve whatever heat remained in their bodies. “.
The Igbore community people called on the Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun to help them with his good office to look into the deplorable conditions of Igbore high school in Abeokuta South Local Government.
