The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Ekiti State, Hon. Biodun Omoleye
has called on workers at the local government to shun negligence,
laziness and all other lackadaisical attitude to work.

periodic visit to local government secretariats across the State,
expressed dismay that some workers were yet to report for work at that
time of the day, some others at work were loitering about and some
staying idle in the office.
He said, “I must confess, my observation is shocking as I found out
that today being the very first working day of the week and with the
information in the media that the governor will be visiting this local
government I expect every staff of this local government to be at his
or her desk but what I found was shocking as most staff were not found
in the office.
“We are going to device a means for the field officers to do a proper

even now is that most of the field staffers do not go to work. I am
Omoleye who paid the visit shortly after the visit of Governor Kayode
Fayemi to the Local Government said he was in the local government to
ascertain the working environment of workers in the council, assess
their attitude to work, and see to the welfare and general well-being
of Staff at the council.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor expressed displeasure at the very
dirty environment of the council.
“And those that were around obviously do not show any sign of
seriousness and comportment as civil servants. The environment of the
council is also filthy.” He added.
Omoleye who explained he was in the Council to perform an oversight
function, asked Heads of department in the council not to condone
laziness and negligence at work.
