The Commissioner for Information, Tourism and Values Orientation, Aare
Muyiwa Olumilua has charged the people of Moba Local Government Area
of Ekiti State to take ownership of the Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs) Projects in the local government.

The Commissioner, who gave the charge in Otun during the Flag-off of
Advocacy and Sensitization Programme on the implementation of 2018
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Projects in the state, advised
the Contractors to do a thorough job that could stand the test of

Aare Olumilua stated that the present administration led by Governor
Kayode Fayemi is poised to carry the people along in its policies,
programmes and activities, saying that government officials would
continue to monitor government projects and ensure that they are done
according to specifications.

He charged the people of the benefiting Communities to constitute
monitoring committees that would oversee regular developments of
projects in their areas.

Aare Olumilua, who asserted that government projects could only be
successfully completed through collaborative efforts and commitment of
the people, urged them to work as a team for the overall development
of the local government.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDGs in the state, Dr.
(Mrs.) Abimbola Solanke, expressed the readiness of the present
administration to ensure that people at the grassroots enjoy dividends
of democracy to the fullest.

The Obanla of Otun Ekiti, Chief Adeniran Odeniyi, appreciated the
State Government for counting Moba Local Government worthy as part of
the selected local government that benefited from the SDGs projects in
the state.
