Attainment of leadership position, most often comes through shared providence as ordained by God, hence leaders must administer affairs with utmost love and care for the people.
The Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Olakunle Oluomo gave the admonition during the Assembly’s Christmas Carol and Service of 9 Lessons, held at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
Oluomo pointed out that there was need for every leader to demonstrate love to their neighbours and subordinates, as exemplified by the birth of Jesus Christ, in order to build a peaceful and progressive society.
In his sermon, the Officiating Minister, Pastor Kolawole Babatunde, urged believers to strengthen their faith to further enjoy the grace of God, commending the lawmakers for entrenching good governance in their legislative activities.
Bible passages at the Carol Service were read by Honourables Solomon Osho, Soneye Damilola, Abayomi Fasuwa, the Acting Executive Secretary, State House Of Assembly Commission, Taiwo Opaleye.
Others were Honourables Adegoke Adeyanju, Adeyemi Ademuyiwa, the Assembly’s Majority Leader, Hon. Yusuf Sherif and Speaker Olakunle Oluomo, who read the ninth lesson.
