PDP Crises,We have Appeal the state high court ijebu ode judgement– Bayo Dayo




A PEOPLES DEMOCRATIC PARTY STATE CHAIRMAN, in Ogun State has rushed to the Appeal Court, Ibadan, Oyo State Monday against the judgement of a lower court in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State delivered last week.

Engr Adebayo Dayo, the outgoing State Chairman of PDP, Ogun State, dissatisfied with the judgement given by Justice O. B. Olusanya of the State High Court, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State on Thursday, July 2 appeal to the Court of Appeal.

Assistant Inspector-General of Police and Senator Buruji Kasamu are the respondents in the Appeal Suit No. HCJ/04/2020.

The appeal is yet to be assigned and no hearing date has been fixed.

Engr. Adebayo Dayo complained that the lower court was wrong in law when it held that the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (first respondent) had the right to investigate any allegation of crime.

The PDP State Chairman contended that there was nothing to show in the petition of Senator Buruji (2nd respondent) against him (Dayo) that he had committed any crime.

Recall that the said High Court sitting in Ijebu Ode in a Suit No. HCJ/64/2020 dismissed the complaints of Engr Bayo Dayo and his son, Bola.

The court awarded cost of N250,000 against the father and son.

An Ogun State High Court sitting in Ijebu-Ode, Ijebu Ode Local Government Area of the state this Thursday dismissed two suits filed by the former Chairman of the state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Engr. Adebayo Dayo and his son, Bola.

The duo had filed two separate suits against Police and Senator Buruji Kashamu alleging that their fundamental rights to freedom of movement, association and to own properties in any part of the country were about to be breached
