Members of the Ogun State House of Assembly Committee on Public Account and Anti-corruption, led by Hon. Lamidi Musefiu have charged Management of the State Institute of Technology, Igbesa to address all issues raised in an Audit report and ensure accountability and probity in its financial records.
Giving the charge during a session at the Assembly complex in Abeokuta, Hon. Lamidi directed the school management team, led by the Rector, Dr. Olufunke Akinkurolere, to have an up-to-date asset register, comprehensive students’ data, debtors’ status and other financial records.
The Committee stressed the need for the institution to work more on the process of enlistment on the TETFUND support, for further infrastructural development in the institute and boost the capacity of its lecturers.
Responding, the Rector noted that the institute had been assured of enlistment for 2020 TEFFUND support, promising that all issues highlighted in the report would be addressed in due course.
