EKIRS receives capturing devices for enumeration of property.




Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service (EKIRS) has received the devices
to be used for capturing and enumeration of properties for the
implementation of the Land Use Charge (LUC) Law in the State.

The Chairman of Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Olumuyiwa
Ogunmilade, who made this known while taking delivery of the devices,
expressed his delight, saying that the devices would fast track the
Mr. Ogunmilade said the enumeration and tagging process was stalled a
bit since the enumeration and tagging of Mr. Governor’s property in
Isan was done so as to pave the way for the EKIRS to re-strategize
noting that the agency is already behind schedule on the enumeration
of properties, but with the devices, the officers will be able to
catch up with the time that has been lost and also ease the process of
property Identification.
The Chairman also disclosed that the enumeration of the properties is
expected to begin on Friday while the next batch of devices for the
enumeration of the informal sector will arrive soon. He however called
for cooperation from the people of Ekiti state with the Property
Identification Officers or Assessors in the course of discharging
their duties.
The enumeration device has a camera, biometric identifier and also
serves as an android, which will be used to interface with the land
use charge application.
