ENDSARS: We Lost An Officer To Protest, Others Injured in Ogun — Custom Boss




The Ogun State Comptroller of the Nigeria Customs Service Michael Agbara said the Command Lost one of its Officer and others injured to the recent EndSars protest experienced in all parts of the country, which the Command played a very significant role in restoring control across the border line.

Agbara stated this,in a press conference on Thursday at Idiroko, Ipokia Local Government Area in Ogun state,adding that the protest which was hjacked by hoodlums and smugglers, particularly at the Border Area suffered various attacks.

” Many of our patrol team were attacked, their patrol bases set ablaze, Officers and men were trapped as a result of the results of multiple attack suffered and many of our valuables, including uniforms were looted”.

The Customs Boss,said that the hoodlums seized the opportunity of the security challenges , which made security agencies focused on protecting their operatives and facilities to embark on massive smuggling of rice and vehicles, adding that the command, however intenstify it’s efforts by strengthen it’s workforce with reinforcement from the military.

He Noted that the command was able to contain the attempts of hoodlums on Government warehouse at Idiroko and Abeokuta,and other Government’s facilities.
