OYO OPC READS RIOT ACT TO FULANI HERDSMEN IN THE STATE

The Oyo State chapter of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) has come out in a clear terms to condem the killing of Doctor Fatai Aborode the chief Executive Officer , of Kunfayakun treasures Limited and other innocent citizens of the state by Fulani herdsmen saying that OPC will not fold his harms and allow such killing in the state again.

Comrade Rotimi Olumo the oyo state coordinator of OPC said this while speaking with the news men in ibadan yesterday. Olumo said that it saddens one’s heart that Fulani herdsmen are disturbing the condusive atmosphere of our dear state. He said that OPC is battle ready to cortail the excesses of this so called Fulani herdsmen in Oyo state.

Comrade Olumo said that killing of Doctor Fatai Aborode at Igangan shows that this Fulani herdsmen are terrorising the good people of oyo state. He said that the report he received from members of OPC in that zone shows that despite the fact that Late Doctor Fatai Aborode beg them they still went ahead to kill him with gun and Cutlass. It saddens one’s heart. How will Fulani herdsmen be killing citizens of the state. I have given instruction to all the local government co ordinator of OPC in the state to build up security in this yelutide season.

He stated that the Are Ona Kakanfo of yoruba land , Iba Gani Adams has been crying out loud over the killings of innocent citizens by Fulani herdsmen for a very long time. He said that if not for the intervention of Are Ona Kakanfo Fulani would have taken over Oke ogun and Ibarapa zone for a very long time. Just of recent we went to Kishi to resist this Fulani herdsmen.

He further stated that OPC is putting alot of strategies in place to make sure that citizens Oyo state can sleep with their two eyes closed.

Olumo said that citizens of the state should not panic about the incident. The security of oyo state is very important to OPC . We are doing alot of underground work.
