Odusile gave the assurance during the Ministry’s annual Interdenominational Thanksgiving Service at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying information dissemination is crucial, hence the need to equip information managers.
The Commissioner advised officers to be more diligent saying, “to whom much is given, much is expected, we will provide equipment that you have been yearning for, so please reciprocate the gesture with diligence. You are Government’s Public Relation Officers, therefore, watch what you say before disseminating to the public’’.
He expressed delight at the success recorded by the Ministry last year, praying for a more prosperous and rewarding year 2021.
Earlier, an officer in the agency, Mr. Odunayo Ogunleye who took his admonition from the book of Proverbs chapter 17 verse 1, charged members of staff to finetune their relationship with God and fellow humans, adding that it is important to steer clear of strife and bitterness for a better working relationship.
Ogunleye identified lust, selfishness and unhealthy competition as major reasons for retrogression in an organisation, appealing to officers to shun envy and embrace love for effective team work and service delivery.
His counterpart, Mrs. Nosimot Soneye while citing Quran 53 vs 39-41, encouraged officers to have right attitude to work, saying it was also a service unto God, if employees fulfilled their job obligations and discharge their duties diligently.
