The Executive Chairman of Ekiti State Internal Revenue Service
(EKIRS), Olumuyiwa Ogunmilade has charged staffs of the agency to
embrace a positive attitude and be dedicated in the discharge of their
duties in the new year 2021.
Addressing EKIRS staffs at the Revenue House in Ado-Ekiti during the
prayer session organized to mark the beginning of the year 2021, Mr.
Ogunmilade charged them to be alive to their responsibilities,
stressing the need for them to justify the confidence reposed in them.
The Chairman, who commended the efforts of the workers in year 2020,
however stressed the need for them to show more dedication to their
duties to ensure optimal service delivery in the new year, adding that
tax administration must be excellent this year.
“I appreciate you all for the efforts you put into making this office
better last year but I know that we can still do more, we are not
where we wish to be yet but we are not where we used to be as well”,
Ogunmilade also expressed gratitude to God for what he described as
“divine protection that saw all of us through the peculiar year 2020”.
He also commended tax payers in the State for their cooperation in
making Ekiti greater with the discharge of their civic responsibility
in spite of the “uniqueness” of the year 2020, he however stressed the
need for their continued support in the new year.
He emphasized the need for all hands to be on deck to boost the
State’s IGR, noting that the constant message is that all stakeholders
