In its efforts towards ensuring revitalisation and development of the education system to meet the international standards, Ogun State Government has said that it is ready to upgrade facilities in schools through the provision of new tables, chairs, white board, modern toilets and classrooms, among others.

Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu who said this during his working visits to School with Special Needs and Ansar-ud-deen High School, both in Ijebu-ode, noted that the upgrade would create a conducive teaching and learning environment.

Prof. Arigbabu added that the present administration is strategising on packages that would improve productivity, charging school management and members of staff to be more dedicated to duties.

” I actually want a situation where our schools will meet up the standards set by the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun. Facilities in schools need to be upgraded and we are working to achieve the mandate.

“This is a special school where we have special needs children, we need to take good care of them. We have five of them in the State and whatever intervention they need, we have to provide for them. We are also spreading the interventions to other schools, so that our attention will be felt all over the State”, Arigbabu assured.

Responding, the Principal of Ansar-Ud-Deen High School (Senior), Mr. Kamarudeen Alaga, while taking the Commissioner round the school, commended the Prince Dapo Abiodun led-government for his laudable achievements in the education sector.
