Odusile gave the charge when the leadership of the Council led by its Chairman, Comrade Olusoji Amosun paid him a birthday felicitation visit in Abeokuta.
The Commissioner expressed delight that the Union has embraced peace and tranquility, urging the team to ensure that every member of the union be carried along in its decisions.
He said the request of the Union on regular workshop for journalists in the State is necessary for optimal performance in the profession, saying their demands would be forwarded to the appropriate quarters.
The Commissioner said Ogun State being the cradle of Journalism, there is need for all journalists in the State to work in line with the ethics of the profession at all times.
While presenting a birthday card to the Commissioner, Comrade Amosun congratulated him on his appointment as the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, saying “it is indeed a round peg in the round hole”.
While giving account of the State Union’s secretariat, the State council chairman said all infrastructure are in the state of disrepair, pleading for the support of the State government to resuscitate it.
Meanwhile, the Landlord Association of Journalist Estate, Arepo, has sought the support of the State government for the construction of a public health care facility in the community.
The Association led by the Chairman, Mrs. Funke Fadugba made the appeal during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner, Alhaji Odusile in Abeokuta.
Alhaji Odusile, said the Governor has been working to achieve his agenda, stating that the government would harness resources around Arepo, due to its proximity to Lagos State.
The Commissioner stated that request of Arepo Community for a public health centre would be forwarded to appropriate quarters for action, urging the residents to continue to discharge their duties as good citizens of the Gateway State by ensuring they pay their taxes and levies as and when due.
Earlier speaking, Mrs. Fadugba appreciated the massive construction and development by the present administration, reiterating the community’s continued support.
