The Network of NGOs working on Transparency and Accountability in Nigeria has inaugurated her National and the Ogun State Managent Team to kickstart Nation wide activities. .
At the inaugural meeting of the Network held in Abeokuta, Mr Olukunle Adeogun of Women Consortium of Nigeria was sworn in as National Coordinator.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Adeogun noted that there is no better time to fight corruption in Nigeria than now, pledging to lead the organisation along the path of strengthening the culture of Openess and Accountability with the Governance system in Nigeria.
Other National Executive members areAlhaja Rabiu Kudirat of FOMWAN as Treasurer, Mr Sina Adefolahan as PRO, Ms Moji Akinsanya as Financial Secretary while a representative of Centre for Women Health and Inffformation is to serve as National Secretary.
The inaugural meeting presided by the Chairman Board of Trustee of TAN Apostle Tola Adenekan also inaugurated the Ogun State Managent Team with Mrs Mary Ajayi of WODECO as Chairperson.
Others are Mr Sola Olufemi as Secretary, Mrs Funmi Hassan as Treasurer, Mrs Adetutu Babatunde as Financial while Utsaz Jubril Lawal will serve as State PRO.
In a Goodwill message, Mrs Sumbo Oladipo of Centre for Women Health and Inffformation called on the new Management teams to work in Unity and mobilise other organisations and stakeholders to demand Transparency and Accountability at all levels of public and private sector for quality service delivery for the well being of the entire Citizenry.
Twenty Eight Non Governmental Organisations were presented with certificate of membership at the event.
The Network of NGOs Working on Transparency and Accountability was registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission in June 2021 to operate in Nigeria
Other members of the Board of Trustee are Prof Olubunmi Asimolowo and Mr Sola Afariogun
