ABEOKUTA – The Coordinator of 2023 PDP Ogun Central, Arc. Dele Olaleye has denied negotiating a 15% sharing formula of the state resources with Hon. Akinlade’s group.
Olaleye while reacting to a statement credited to a political group, Ogun Integrity Vanguard said the widely circulated MoU on social media was twisted by APC media agents to mislead members of the public.
He said it was surprising that the APC would attempt to twist and paint such a noble display of accountability, sincerity, and courage in a bad light.
He queried that why would anyone term an agreement released on the directive of the PDP governorship candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu at a public event as a plan to steal from the state.
The PDP coordinator stressed that, the duo of Ladi Adebutu and Akinlade should rather be commended for their good intention, genuineness, and openness.
“What is arguably the most sincere show of selflessness, if not watershed for political collaboration in our dear State since 1999, is being twisted by none other than the army of toxic media agents of the ruling APC. To every objective watcher of events, however, this MOU between Hon Oladipupo Olatunde Adebutu and Hon Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade has set a new standard in party politics in Nigeria. No wonder the PDP is now recording more widespread support from the good people of Ogun State.
“It is not surprising that the APC propagandists will attempt to twist and paint such a noble display of accountability, sincerity and courage BLACK. If not delusional, why would anyone in their right senses claim that an agreement released on the directive of the PDP Gubernatorial candidate, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, at a public event, would be a plan to steal from the state? Governor Dapo Abiodun’s government is sick and nothing is more symptomatic of that than the social media release that emanated from SF Ojo, his media aide, and a horde of other sponsored media hogwash against the MOU.
“Unlike what transpired in 2019 between the various groups that claimed to work for Gov. Dapo Abiodun’s emergence ( OSOBA CAMP, GNI, BURUJI e.t.c), each of them came off with the “short end of the stick” because their leaders took upfront monetary gratification rather than clearly-written power sharing agreement which could have guaranteed the political survival of their followers as well as the economic progress of the State. If the APC media aide reads to comprehend, he would have seen that the agreement contained input on how to drive the economic progress of the State. But he can’t because he is not smart.
“To those that can see beyond their noses, it is a well-known fact that the 2019 Ogun guber election made its first runner up, Triple A, a political asset. In the same vein, Triple A knows that he is as formidable politically as the people behind him, thus rather than ask for personal financial gratification during the “talks”, he requested for over 70 positions for his supporters. That is leadership! The PDP and Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, also driven by the desire to ensure Ogun State succeeds, looked beyond a “winner takes all mentality” and conceded those positions. That is courage with a tinge of selflessness.
“On the lame 15% sharing formula, SF Ojo would have to either name the so-called source or provide evidence, otherwise, he should fade into an obscured infamy as a dull moron who could not even come up with a smart propaganda-worthy line. Among all the individuals that ever aspired for the office of the governor of Ogun State since 1999, Hon. Oladipo Adebutu is undoubtedly the most financially stable. At age 61, he is a fulfilled man by any standard. A multi billionaire and a chip from a very industrious and successful family. He is a man with a noble name to preserve and to insinuate that he is moved to steal is wanton hogwash for which SF Ojo would expectedly still have his day with the law of the land.
“The reality is that APC under the present administration in Ogun State is desperate, delusional and confused as a result of its failure to leverage on the goodwill it inherited from the Sen. Ibikunle Amosun administration in 2019. They spent the last three years, lining their pockets, witch-hunting Amosun and promoting empty projects draped in cosmetic Yellow hues.
“But it is too late in the day for the APC and Gov. Dapo Abiodun. The good intention, genuineness, openness of the duo of LADO/Triple A must be commended. Ogun State needs God-fearing men to redeem and reset our fortunes for better. Hon. Oladiupo Olatunde Adebutu fits the bill and if he signs a power sharing agreement to facilitate that desire so be it. Dapo Abiodun and his co-travellers are free to bellyache. Suffice to say that the good people of Ogun State are with the PDP/LADO come March 2023.”
