ABEOKUTA – The Presiding Pastor, Victory Life Bible Church (VLBC), Apostle Lawrence Achudume has enjoined Nigerians to have hope and positive thinking in the rising progress of the Nigeria.

Achudume who spoke on Sunday at a special 62nd Independence anniversary service held at the church auditorium, Ajebo road, Abeokuta said the time has come for Nigeria to rise above primordial biases and hatred by comity of nations.

The clergyman noted that the failure of past and present leaders has caused great damage to the image of the country, stressing that despite the negative indoctrination surrounding the nation, many foreign nationals have continued to take pride in becoming citizens of the country.

He said what will make Nigeria a great nation, is the collective daily prayer and commitment of Nigerians to improve the economy by creating entrepreneurs not beggars.

He said Nigeria is at the point of escape from sorrow and hardship, predicting that in due course, the world will celebrate the country, stressing that there will be peace in the country, noting that Nigeria is not a confused nation, but some few elements who have no competence in governance.

Achudume cautioned Nigerians to stop exalting political office holders, stressing that many of them lack governance skills and competence.

“Stop talking evil about Nigeria. Nigeria is a blessed nation. I have travelled across the world, and I am convinced about this. God told me to tell you that in a few months to end this year, no time will be wasted. Things will get better. Our God is God of salvation, we must acknowledge him daily.

“Nigeria will escape sorrow. The whole world will celebrate Nigeria, there will be peace. We have a dream for Nigeria, and it will come to pass. Nigeria is not a confused nation, but some few elements are confused. Nigeria will start benefiting from God’s blessings in abundance. We should raise entrepreneurs and not beggars.

“No nation like Nigeria. This nation is about to give birth to greatness that our forefathers do not know.

In the new nigeria, there will be peace. Don’t give up on this nation. Don’t try it. Is Nigeria that bad? No, it’s not. Last week, more than 200 foreigners were made Nigerian citizens.

“It’s now clear that there’s something foreigners are seeing that Nigerians are not seeing.

“The problem is that Nigerians are listening to rumours. Nigeria is not that bad. The nation is just 62. We will get there. Nigeria will not be swallowed. Nigeria will give birth to greatness.”

In his sermon titled: “A Nation under Siege” the General Overseer, Christ Royal Family International Church, Bishop Tom Samson said God will deliver in 2023, saying there will be a change after the general elections.
