Ekiti State government has launched its 2023 mobile advert stickers
for commercial and branded vehicles in the state in line with extant
laws and regulations guiding their operations.

While explaining this in Ado Ekiti, the Chairman of Ekiti State
Internal Revenue Services, Mr. Olaniran Olatona explained that the new
and improved mobile advert stickers would be in force beginning from
January 1,2023.

Olaniran reiterated that the sticker would be effective for a period
of one year and would be applicable in all States of the federation.

” The provision of the laws and regulations of Signage is that once
you pay a tax on mobile advert in a state it covers for all State in
the country”. He said.

According to the Olaniran, the introduction of mobile advert sticker
would also put an end to shortchanging the state through duplication
of stickers because the sticker is designed in a way that it could be
verified through the QR code.

Olaniran said that Governor Biodun Oyebanji has encouraged enabling
environment for Advertising Practitioners to promote business owners
in Ekiti State particularly branded vehicles for revenue generating
agency which has been able to engage in strategically deployed
policies that are promised to achieved better revenue for the state.

He said that he sticker would be placed at strategic locations on the
vehicles that has QR code to verified originality of the owner and
also block leakages from the illegitimate miscreants parading
themselves around.

EKIRS boss also emphasized that the state government would not condone
revenue loss of any kind and echoed that government is proactive to
boosting the state revenue from all sphere to facilitate socio-
economic development of the state.

He stressed that the unveiling of the 2023 mobile advert sticker would
be administered on commercial and branded vehicles belonging to
individuals and corporate enterprises that would lead to sustainable
synergy between the government approved mobile sticker consultant and
interested vendors to the benefit of the state.

Mr Olaniran however said that the agency is collaborating with NAK-
ALADE Multi-ventures concept to ensure compliance with the extant
rules and regulations on mobile advert.

He also encouraged all stakeholders to patronize the Agency for
payment of all authorized fee, outdoor displays and also ensure that
payment to the state internal Revenue Services are fulfilled.
