Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji has called on local
government and local council development areas in the state to look
inward for income generation so as to embark on meaningful projects
that would positively impact the living standard of the people of
their various areas.
Oyebanji made the call in Ado Ekiti during the first year anniversary
celebration of the Chairman of Ado Ekiti local government area (LGA),
Chief Bosun Osaloni.
The governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State
Government, Alhaja Habibat Adubiaro, stressed that local government
and local council development areas were created for even development
at the grassroot level, adding that administrators at the 3rd tier of
government must stop at nothing to ensure the execution of projects
that would make meaningful impact in the lives of the people.
He commended the immediate past governor of the state, Dr Kayode
Fayemi for the creation of LCDAs, urging the LGA and LCDA Chairmen to
ensure effective execution of his administration’s 6-point agenda in
their areas.

some ongoing projects within their first year, the governor advised
them to work harder to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the
people of Ado Ekiti in the remaining year.
“I wish to implore the leaders of this local government to keep up the
good work and to continuously be innovative in your capacity as
leaders, because you cannot afford to rest on your previous
achievements in an ever-changing world. I promise that the state
government as well as your people would regularly be on the lookout
for more laudable projects to be undertaken by you and your
administration in this local government,he advised”
