The General Manager of the Ekiti State AIDS Control Agency EKSACA, Dr.
Charles Doherty has reaffirmed the state government’s readiness to
reposition the civil service for effective and efficient service
Dr. Doherty gave the affirmation during the first monthly in-house
Training programme organized for staff members at the agency’s
conference hall in Ado Ekiti.
According to the General Manager, the state government is poised to
build an efficient and highly motivated civil service that would
effectively drive the 6-point agenda of the Biodun Oyebanji
Administration for socioeconomic and physical transformation of Ekiti.
He said that the training would boost workers’ morale and prepare them
for the task ahead.
While emphasizing on the monthly in-house training, the General
Manager of the agency Dr. Charles Doherty charged the workers to be up
and doing in discharging their official duties.
The SACA Boss charged the workers to familiarize themselves with their
official roles and duties with an advice to them not to betray the
trust reposed in them by the people they work for.
He identified the Key Populations that have a high risk of contacting
HIV/AIDS to include, transgender (TG), People Who Inject Drugs (PWID),
Female Sex Workers (FSW), and Men who have sex with Men (MSM).
Dr. Doherty said they must not be judged rather they should be
accommodated with love and that our programs are to make them safe and
to prepare them to be safe for society which would help to curb the
spread of the virus.
