The Secretary to Ekiti State Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro has
counselled women to be of good conduct in their homes and in the
society.
Adubiaro gave this counsel at the celebration of the year 2023
International Women’s day organized for female civil servants at
governor’s office in Ado-Ekiti.
The SSG who remarked that women are support pillars to their husbands
and the society, charged them on the need to be in good term with
their husbands and make their roles indispensable in the family and
the society.
“I am highly delighted to be here seeing us women who are the pillars
of the society. Without us the society can not thrive well”, she
remarked.
“As women we have great roles to play in our various homes and the
society where we belonged. Let’s start from our homes, as wives, how
do we relate with our husbands? How are we maintaining our house? How
are we supporting our husbands? Are we contented with what our
husbands is giving us? Are we the type that always compare our home
with others? the SSG retorted.
“As wives in our various homes, let it be in our mind that we have to
be a great pillar to our husbands” she advised.
The Academian turned politician also counseled women to give their
children proper training because most of the criminal elements we have
in the society have their genesis from homes, adding that women should
be humble and ready to give assistance to the needy in the society.
“The society is a reflection of the type of women we have because
criminals such as the armed robbers, kidnappers, prostitutes all come
from homes”, Adubiaro emphasized.
Making reference to the holy books, the Bible and Quran, Adubiaro
stressed that women are expected to train their children in the way of
God.
“Besides, anywhere we are let’s assist others and be humble” she said.
In her own remarks, the Coordinator, Ekiti Women in Management,
(EKWIM), and the Permanent Secretary, Cabinet and Special Services
Department, Mrs Oyeyemi Kayode-Ojo and her counterpart in the
Political and Economic Affairs office, Mrs Kemi Aiyegbusi admonished
women to assist one another in their pursuit for greatness.
The duo explained further that women can only take their rightful
positions in the society, and as well earn respect, they must not be
found wanting in the discharge of their responsibilities, both at home
and in their areas of professional callings
