Worker’s Day: Today Is A Tribute To Those Who Work, Paid or unpaid, Says As NANS Celebrate Workers

The National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) has commended union workers across the state for proving themselves as great allies of the government, adding that the support of the workers in the country is highly commendable.

The NANS Deputy Senate President, Ekundina Elvis made this known in a statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta to commemorate the 2023 International Workers Day, jointly organised by the state Trade Union Congress and the NLC.

According to the global senate president, he said the entire students body felicitate with the workers in the State on this year’s Workers’ Day Celebration adding that workers have been very supportive and their immense contributions to the development of the state is worthy of commendation.

The statements read in parts “Today is a tribute to those who work. Paid or unpaid, part-time or full, happily or not (but hopefully happily), you help make the world go round.”

“Thank you for your hard work, dedication and direct contributions to our growth and goals. It feels great to look back over the past year and see all we’ve achieved as a Nation with Your relentless efforts and supports in togetherness.”

“I humbly thank you for your continued service to the nation. Happy International Workers’ Day to you, Elvis concluded.
