EID AL FITR: ISIAKA CALLS FOR UNITY, COMPASSION, SERVICE

Chairman, House Committee on Student Loans, Scholarships and Higher Education Financing, Gboyega Isiaka has extended warm greetings to the Islamic community in Nigeria on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, emphasizing the importance of unity, compassion, and faith in these uncertain times.

In a statement personally signed, Isiaka expressed hope that the Eid festivities would signify a spiritual rejuvenation and renewed commitment to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

Reflecting on the significance of the end of the holy month of Ramadan, the federal lawmaker urged the Muslim ummah to embody the values of deep reflection, spiritual cleansing, and devotion that are cultivated through fasting.

According to him, Eid Al Fitr reinforces the need for Muslims to strengthen familial bonds and deepen their commitment to the service of Allah (SWT) and His creation.

“The month of Ramadan has been a time of deep reflection, spiritual cleansing, and devotion. Through the act of fasting, we have strengthened our connection with the Divine, subdued our carnal desires, and cultivated sense of empathy and compassion for the less privileged.”

“As we bid farewell to the blessed month of Ramadan and welcome the Eid festivities, let us remember the core principles of Islam – mercy, justice, and the pursuit of a righteous life.

May this Eid al-Fitr serve as a demonstration of the unity, compassion, and devotion that are fundamental to the Islamic faith.

Eid Mubarak to you all!” he said.
