State of the Nation: PDP Chieftain Scores President Tinubu First Year In Office Low

As the current administration marks its one-year anniversary, a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and a former aspirant from Ogun Central, Hon. Olumide Jones, has evaluated the Tinubu administration’s performance.

According to Hon. Jones, the administration’s first year has been marked by hardship and economic challenges, which have dashed the hopes of many Nigerians who had expected a turnaround in the country’s fortunes.

Hon. Jones expressed disappointment that the administration’s policies have not yielded the desired results, instead imposing higher taxes on citizens and contributing to the high cost of living.

He questioned the administration’s ability to provide good governance, given the deteriorating socio-economic conditions in the country.

While acknowledging that one year is a relatively short period, Hon. Jones urged the administration to reassess its policies and take concrete steps to address the suffering of Nigerians.
