A Senatorial Aspirant under People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023 Elections in Ogun state, Hon Olumide Jones has commenced distribution of POS machine for Party faithful across the six LG in Ogun Central.
He made this known in the meeting with party stakeholders, where he unveiled some of the POS machine and his programs.
When asked what prompted his action, Hon Olumide Jones said that the current economy of the country geared him up towards this philanthropic activity.
He said that it is important to teach our people how to fish now rather than giving them fish to eat.
He added that as it stands in Nigeria right now, we need to rise up to help our people to survive.
It’s important that people should get means of livelihood and means by which money comes in for them to feed as the economy of the country has crumbled, said Hon Jones
“I can feel what people are going through, and it touches my heart. This is my own little way of helping our people who have been traumatized by the bad economy of the country,” he said
He further said that this is the first batch he will give out and would not stop.
He also announced that the POS Machine will also come with Thirty thousand Naira(30000) as a start-up capital, which shall be reviewed from time to time.
The easy-going Hon and fondly called OJ by his teeming followers said that we will continue this in all the local government in Ogun central and various sustainable empowerment programs are still coming up.
He urged all the PDP members to be calm and continue to pray for the unity of the party.
