LG Elections: Students Forum Backs Azeez Adeyemi Chairmanship Bid

The D.S Adegbenro ICT Polytechnic Students Stakeholders Forum has endorsed Azeez Adeyemi as their consensus candidate for the Ewekoro Local Government Chairmanship election.

The forum, which represents the collective voices of students, made the announcement in a press release issued and signed by Comrade Ajibade Abiola and Comrade Olorunnisola Ebunoluwa Onayemi and made available to our correspondent on Wednesday.

The Students Stakeholders Forum is the statement appealed to the state Governor to consider their choice of endorsement, Azeez Adeyemi as the consensus candidate for the Ewekoro Local Government Chairmanship election.

According to the statement “As the future leaders of our great nation, we believe that the growth and development of any country is dependent on investment in its youth constituency. Therefore, we need a leader who understands and aligns with the aspirations of the youth. Azeez Adeyemi represents the most strategic choice for Ewekoro Local Government and Ogun State at large.”

“We urge Governor Dapo Abiodun, the APC state secretariat, and all final decision-making organs in the Party to assent to our request and support Azeez Adeyemi’s candidacy. His leadership will ensure that the youth of Ewekoro Local Government are empowered, educated, and equipped to drive progress and development.”

“Globally, democratic practices emphasize representation, accountability, and transparency. Azeez Adeyemi’s leadership style embodies these values, and we are confident that he will prioritize the needs of our community, especially the youth.”

“Adeyemi, over the years, has also invested heavily in the party to ensure victory in the last general election while people pushing hidden agendas lost woefully in their respective polling units and wards despite having all the resources required to win an election.”

“We appeal to the Party’s commitment to youth development and democratic principles to support Azeez Adeyemi’s candidacy”.
