PRACTICE HEALTHY LIFESTYLE, OGUN STATISTICIAN-GENERAL URGES RETIREES

Retirees have been urged to see their retirement as a transition to another stage in life by practicing a healthy lifestyle through being active, engaging in exercises and volunteer works, to maintain their physical and mental well-being.
Ogun State Statistician-General, Mr. Michael Ajayi, gave the charge while speaking at the retirement ceremony of two retiring officers of the state Bureau of Statistics, Mr. Olubunmi Soremi and Mrs. Folorunso Solanke, after a commendable service in the state Civil Service, at the Cooperative Hall, Leme, Abeokuta.
Mr. Ajayi, who noted that the officers had left an indelible legacy of excellence and dedication while in office, said retirement can be challenging, imploring the retiring officers that, ‘’It is time for you to take cognisance of your hobbies, as this would be your companion in retirement’’.
On their part, Mr. Soremi and Mrs. Solanke appreciated God for retiring after a meritorious service, appreciating the management and staff of the Bureau for their kind gesture.
